The big news this week was the announcement that Vail Resorts bought Park City Mountain Resort. Why is this big news? Well, if you’re an Epic Pass Ski Pass holder at Northstar, you can now enjoy skiing in Park City on the same pass. Not only do you get to ski Northstar, Heavenly and Kirkwood in the Tahoe region, but now you have access to 22 resorts, including Canyons in Park City, Utah; Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado. It’s fun to think about the possibility of skiing all these resorts on one ski pass, but more significantly, this is a great reflection of Vail Resorts goal to be the “best ski operator in the world.” In addition to buying new ski areas, Vail Resorts has the vision and finances to continue making our ski experiences better and better right here at home in Tahoe.
