The third quarter proved to be one of the most active selling seasons to-date for Reno-Tahoe real estate. The common theme in these reports is that prices are up and days on market are shorter than ever. These are great stats, but we do have concerns about what’s ahead due to a drop in active listings. In fact, limited supply appears to be the only factor restraining the current market.
We are now in what many would agree is the most beautiful time of the year in Tahoe. With clear skies, fall colors and early season snow in the forecast, buyers are focused on finding solutions for the upcoming ski season. Based on the continued interest and high velocity of transactions, I anticipate a strong close to 2021.
REGIONAL MARKET DATA BROKEN DOWN BY NEIGHBORHOOD
Because market trends can vary dramatically across the region’s two state and many diverse neighborhoods, we’ve broken down the critical data such as days on market and percentage of list price to sale price to help our buyers and sellers make informed decisions.
